Tips about Removing CSS and Copy DVD

What is CSS

Most DVD movies are protected with the Content Scrambling System (CSS), which is created by the Hollywood Studios to prevent DVD movies from being pirated. The CSS encrypts the data on a DVD and requires a special key to decrypt it. If you just simply copy the content to computer, the copy you get will not be watchable. Therefore before you copy a DVD movie you have to rip the protection from it first.

How to remove the protection

Sothink DVD Ripper does not integrate any decryption function inside. But it is not hard to find a good decrypting application (like DVD43) on Internet using a search engine (like Google). They are developed and distributed by independent third parties; none of which is affiliated with SourceTec Software.

Please note that, after you decrypt a DVD, you should restart Sothink DVD Ripper to continue the copying.
